The Company:
- A leading Oil & Gas company based in the Middle East is looking to recruit a Chief Financial Officer. Reporting directly into the Group CFO you will lead and direct the finance team and contribute to the strategic planning and decision making process at the top Executive level.
The Role:
- Drive growth and profitability for operations in by providing strategic direction and leadership for financial and business planning, in particular, assess the financial implications of proposed strategic initiatives, acquisitions and divestitures, operating cost efficiencies and asset deployment.
- Interact with Business Leaders to provide consultative support to planning initiatives through financial information, analyses, reports and provides appropriate recommendations.
- Consolidate necessary information, to evaluate Power performance to help decide whether to retain or to restructure etc.
- Evaluate proposed Power business activities and transactions such as investments, capital expenditure, partnerships and sale of assets to ensure they are financially viable.
- Analyze cash flow, cost control and expense reports to guide business leaders towards optimum utilization of company’s resources.
- Ensure that capital and operational expenditure stays within the set budget by taking corrective actions as required.
- Monitor key operational activities and ensure that necessary adjustments in the business strategies and plans are made to reflect any changes in the competitive scenario in the market.
- Analyze external factors and economic scenario not limited to regulations, currency fluctuations and forecast and economic policies on a continuous basis and ensure that the company takes positions to minimize negative and maximize positive impact of such changes.
- Ensure that an efficient enterprise risk management mechanism is developed and implemented to safeguard the assets of the Power.
- Submits monthly and annual financial statements and reports to be able to review and consolidate for presentation to the Executive Team and Board; ensure that any ad-hoc information or specific data requests are met.
Your Profile
- A minimum of 10 – 15 years experience with at least 6 years experience in a managerial role in the corporate finance.
- Ability to design, set, and implement strategic objectives to achieve shareholder value.
- Prior leadership and/or managerial experience leading multidisciplinary organizations.
- International experience living and working in diverse cultures.
- Previous experience of having worked directly with senior management.
- Successful record of accomplishments and results.
- Professional experience in the energy industry.
- Experience in working in an international company with large complexity.
- Knowledge of IT systems such as Hyperion, Oracle and Essbase.
