The Role
- The CFO objectives will be based on both tactical and strategic responsibilities.
- The overarching areas of such responsibilities are:
- Accounting and Financial Management of the corporate entities and investments
- Tax and Zakat Advisory and Planning of the corporate and offshore (investment) entities
- Investor Relations and Reporting
- Risk Management
- Regulatory Reporting (as required)
- Managing Banking Relationships (for investment purposes)
- At least 10 years dedicated financial management experience progressively gained within a Big 4 accountancy firm, top tier financial services firm or potentially large multinational at a director (or above) level. Transactional experience a must.
- Authoritative command over IFRS and GAAP principles and rules
- In depth knowledge of accounting processes and procedures including budgeting, planning and control
- Ability to manage and organise a team
- Ability to supervise staff and delegate responsibility in an efficient manner
- Ability to develop, implement and communicate processes and procedures
- Ability to adapt to changing circumstances
- Excellent communication and reporting skills
- Good analytical skills
- Problem solving attitude
- Ability to manage projects and third party consultants/advisors
- Good knowledge on PE industry and capital markets activities
- Working knowledge on conventional and alternate modes of financing
- Working knowledge on regulated atmosphere
- Sense of discretion and confidentiality
- Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines
- Familiarity with fund accounting
Your profile
- Accounting certification required (CPA, CA, ACCA, etc)
- Outstanding academic record required from a recognized university (MBA or MS/MA in Finance or Accounting is a plus)
- Pursuing or holding a non-accounting designation (e.g., CFA, CIPA, etc) is a plus
