The Role

  • The CFO objectives will be based on both tactical and strategic responsibilities.
  • The overarching areas of such responsibilities are:
  • Accounting and Financial Management of the corporate entities and investments
  • Tax and Zakat Advisory and Planning of the corporate and offshore (investment) entities
  • Investor Relations and Reporting
  • Risk Management
  • Regulatory Reporting (as required)
  • Managing Banking Relationships (for investment purposes)
  • At least 10 years dedicated financial management experience progressively gained within a Big 4 accountancy firm, top tier financial services firm or potentially large multinational at a director (or above) level. Transactional experience a must.
  • Authoritative command over IFRS and GAAP principles and rules
  • In depth knowledge of accounting processes and procedures including budgeting, planning and control
  • Ability to manage and organise a team
  • Ability to supervise staff and delegate responsibility in an efficient manner
  • Ability to develop, implement and communicate processes and procedures
  • Ability to adapt to changing circumstances
  • Excellent communication and reporting skills
  • Good analytical skills
  • Problem solving attitude
  • Ability to manage projects and third party consultants/advisors
  • Good knowledge on PE industry and capital markets activities
  • Working knowledge on conventional and alternate modes of financing
  • Working knowledge on regulated atmosphere
  • Sense of discretion and confidentiality
  • Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines
  • Familiarity with fund accounting

Your profile

  • Accounting certification required (CPA, CA, ACCA, etc)
  • Outstanding academic record required from a recognized university (MBA or MS/MA in Finance or Accounting is a plus)
  • Pursuing or holding a non-accounting designation (e.g., CFA, CIPA, etc) is a plus
