The Deployment Company is a new joint venture (JV) being finalised by OpenAI with investment firms. This venture aims at helping businesses use its AI software in day-to-day operations.

On the 4th May 2026 Bloomberg reported the JV raised more than $4 billion from investors to value the new company at $10 billion.

The news agency stated The Deployment Company is backed by TPG Inc, Brookfield Asset Management, Advent and Bain Capital, for a firm focused on helping businesses leverage its AI software and tools.

Bloomberg’s sources stated additional partners include Dragoneer Investment Group and SoftBank Group, among others, as well as a mix of consulting firms. The news agency previously reported OpenAI was in discussions for the JV.

The company will be majority-owned and controlled by OpenAI.

The partners in OpenAI’s new joint venture have access to more than 2,000 portfolio companies and clients, according to Bloomberg, which the ChatGPT-maker will target with its AI services and tools.

Bloomberg noted OpenAI and Anthropic are each forming joint ventures with investment companies as they race to turn their AI models into enterprise revenue ahead of anticipated public listings.
