AI developer Anthropic is reportedly looking to secure $10 billion in a new funding round. This move would see the company valued at $350 billion prior to the new investment.

The Wall Street Journal (WSJ) reported Singapore-based sovereign-wealth fund GIC and Coatue Management will lead the financing.

The funding round is expected to be finalised over the coming weeks, WSJ explained, and the total amount could change.

It noted Anthropic is planning to go public this year and expects to break even for the first time in 2028.

The fresh cash will be on top of the up to $15 billion Nvidia and Microsoft plan to invest in Anthropic, which was announced in November 2025.

As part of that deal, Anthropic committed to spending at least $30 billion on compute capacity from the Microsoft Azure cloud platform, which runs on Nvidia’s specialised AI systems.

In September, Anthropic locked up $13 billion in funding for a valuation of $183 billion. Google parent Alphabet and Amazon are among its investors.

Anthropic launched AI assistant Claude in 2023 to compete with OpenAI’s ChatGPT product after being founded two years prior by former OpenAI executives.
