EY’s role as advisor was recognized in the ‘Corporate Finance Deal of the Year’ awarded to Emaar Malls. The Emaar Malls IPO deal presented the largest public offering in 2014 to date. EY’s involvement helped to raise confidence levels in the Middle East and had an impact on driving the UAE stock markets higher and increasing liquidity in the Dubai Financial Market.
EY also won the award for Excellence in Training and Development of Finance Professionals. EY trains thousands of professionals every year across MENA through numerous programs, professional qualifications (eg. ACCA, CMA), customized seminars and workshops for various entities including governmental entities, banks, investment companies, private groups and oil and gas companies. The programs are aimed at equipping trainees with real life practical experience as businesses continues to grow in complexity.
The Awards were hosted by the Middle East branch of The Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW). Launched in 2011, the Awards aim to recognize the key milestones and achievements in the accountancy and finance industry and celebrate organizations and individuals who contribute to the region’s growth and success.
